Introduction:

The legendary sin city, does this city really earn its nickname? It all depends on what you define as sin. This place has history and a personality to it. A town bigger than any one person.  If you don’t watch yourself, you’ll get swallowed alive and go home emotionally naked. Life has its up and downs, so does Vegas. You’re only one hot streak away in a casino to having the best night of your life. Collectively we’ve been to Vegas over ten times. So follow us through our experience(s) and hopefully you can avoid the same mistakes that we made.

Flight:

Ok you booked your flight tickets, great. This can either be an easy experience or a long, frustrating experience. All this depends on where you’re flying out of. If you’re flying out of the west coast, you will most likely have a direct flight and it’ll only last about 1-2.5 hours, piece of cake.

If you’re flying out of the east coast, it’s a major pain in the ass. If you’re lucky enough to get a direct flight then you will only have to deal with the 5-6 hour flight. Almost all of the air carriers that make this flight will not have onboard entertainment. It’s just short enough of a flight for you not to have a monitor in your seat, but long enough to suck. If you have a connecting flight then you’re going to have to make that flight (1 hour +) and then the 5-6 hour flight of suck.

The flight to Vegas is way easier than the flight back. You will be excited that you’re on your way and will most likely only have to deal with excitement anxiety. The flight back is a soul consuming flight. Odds are that you’re going to be severely hungover and tired. It’s almost as certain as death and taxes that someone is going to spew chops on the plane too. Hopefully you made a wise seat choice and don’t have to sit next to the guy who decided to take lines of blow off some hooker’s ass the night before.

Don’t drink before any flight over 4 hours because you’re just going to come down and have a headache or you can attempt to stay buzzed the whole flight.. Which will cost you around 8 bucks a drink, F*ck that.

Drive:

Don’t have too much to say on this, I’m sure it’s like any other road trip. I’m sure the view is pretty sick on the way in though. Just hope you don’t need a piss break since a good portion of the drive will be through open desert. No one needs his buddy to suck poison out of his ass because some snake bit him during the squat.

Location:

Las Vegas is in the middle of the desert. Remember that shit. It’s going to be smoldering hot during the day. Pack your swim trunks! If you have ever decided to stand behind a semi truck exhaust with your face at point blank range, then you know exactly how it feels to walk in Vegas. We’ve seen tons of people pass out randomly while walking. Make sure you hydrate, and not just with booze.

Since it’s still the desert, it means that it can get cold at night. Most Nightclubs that have outdoor areas have heating lamps located everywhere outside. So you’ll almost always be covered there. Just remember the stumble back to the hotel might suck, but that’s why man invented Vodka.

Hotels and Casinos:

We’re going to break out the Major nightclubs and bars within these casinos into a separate area below, and we’re not going to rate the hotel if we haven’t stayed there.

MGM Grand Actually won a good amount of money on slots when we stayed here. The buffet is pretty good and has decent variety, nothing mind-blowing. It’s pretty badass that you can just walk through the casino and check out the lions through the glass. Other places (Mirage), charge you to see their tigers or dolphins. The only negative that I could find about this hotel was the distance from the middle of the strip (Bellagio). It’s a good amount of walking if you’re stumbling back from any Nightclubs in that area, and the way in between can get a little sketchy. One plus of this is if you’re gambling and you blew all your cash, and need to go back to your hotel room to get more, by the time you get there you will have talked yourself out of it. They have other nice places to eat within this huge hotel, but they can get a little pricey. Overall a great place to stay and would stay there again

Planet Hollywood – We’ve stayed here multiple times because this used to be a great nightlife hotel and has a huge mall with great shops and restaurants connected to it!(miracle mile shops). The nightclub Prive closed down and is being replaced by another establishment. This was one of the major attractions for us, because we loved that place. Planet Hollywood used to be the Aladdin, and has been fully refurbished into what it is now. You can tell this too, a lot of the rooms have an old feel to them compared to other hotels and at times can seem a little dingy. This all depends on the room you’ve booked though. We stayed in a suite one time here that was amazing and had the best view in Vegas overlooking the Bellagio fountains and Paris Eifel tower. The casino is not that large but does have the “pleasure pit”. The “pleasure pit” has half naked women dancing or dealing you on the tables, more distraction for you to lose your money. Their buffet is the spice market buffet and it’s one of the best in Vegas for the money. You have choices from literally all over the world for around 20 dollars. There are better places to stay in Vegas, but overall it’s a great experience and well worth the money for the location (right across the street from the Bellagio!)

The Palms – We’ve partied here plenty of times. This hotel is of the original Real World: Las Vegas fame. This hotel is geared towards the young crowd (21 to 24). Right as you walk into the casino you see the food court that offers McDonalds and other fast food establishments that are nice on the wallet. This hotel offers a bunch of different nightlife destinations and can be a really good time with the right crowd. The big negative to The Palms and the reason we’ve never stayed is that its not located directly on the strip, it’s about a city block off the main strip located near The Rio. Every time we’ve ever gone to party here.. We’ve ended up taking a cab or limo back.

Paris – We’ve stayed here once, and it was a great hotel for a family to stay in. An upscale hotel that isn’t super expensive and offers a great location, but this is the Party Guide Vegas! This hotel’s nightlife was pretty lame compared to the other hotels around it. I wouldn’t stay here if you want to have a wild time IN your hotel. Other then that, it’s fantastic. Paris offers why might be the best tasting buffet for the money; their other dining establishments are very good as well. The location is right beside Planet Hollywood and is walking distance to almost anything on the strip. The casino is large size, but there is not much of an exciting gambling atmosphere to it.

Bellagio – This hotel and casino can definitely back up its reputation as one of the best in Las Vegas. Its fountain show to the tunes of Frank Sinatra at night are one of the can’t miss things to do in Vegas, and it’s completely free. The Atmosphere here is great and we love to gamble here, but we never seem to win here. It’s almost mandatory to check out the Bellagio on your stay in Vegas.

Wynn – A lot of people would argue that this is the nicest place to stay in on the strip. The attention to detail in this hotel is amazing and has a very fun and sophisticated nightlife. Another must do is walk through it when you’re in town.

HardRock – We’ve partied here during the day on Sundays at their pool. It’s a kick ass time. Other then that, we don’t know much else besides the fact that this is the current hotel that the new Real World: Las Vegas is taking/took place at.

Mirage – This hotel is a good bet in Vegas, with its good location and HUGE Casino. We had a good time here, but nothing was really super special about it. The staff is great, Got completely shitfaced one night at this casino and was dropping f bombs, kicking shit and cussing out the waitress for pussy drinks, instead of getting my ass beat like I deserved, the pit boss was awesome about it and let me stay, calmed me down and then politely let me walk with all my money. Hope you’re not trying to save money here though, they charge for everything. If you want to see the dolphins or white tigers you’re going to pay. All the places to eat in this joint are very expensive as well.

Caesars palace – Legendary spot in Vegas, and location of the Hangover movie. This hotel and casino is huge and has an amazing atmosphere. The rooms are great and the staff is excellent. Long lines are pretty much everywhere though. The nightlife was ok and not everything it was hyped up to be (mostly Club Pure).

Flamingo – Pretty raw hotel and casino located in a great spot. You can always expect to see Donnie and Marie here or a nice Ferrari parked outside. Their buffet blows though, don’t be fooled into the free champagne breakfast buffet. It is pretty cool to see the Flamingos while you eat though.

Harrah’s – Love the atmosphere of this hotel. You can party outside all night under their live stage tent (Carnaval Court) or get 30 dollar long island iced teas with 11 shots in them. A good time and laid back place.

Luxor – Pretty crappy location, there is a reason you can see it perfectly when you are taxing in the airport. The nightlife is pretty good with LAX, but the staff is garbage and you will wait in line for no reason unless you tip. Better places in Vegas to stay and party at.

Mandalay Bay – Great pool, hotel, casino, bars and clubs. The foundation room might offer the best strip view in Vegas. No better feeling then being hammered and looking out over that view outside. I would recommend getting a bar hopping package on a Thursday night. They usually meet in the MGM and take you to like 5 clubs and bars in one night, a couple of them are located in the Mandalay Bay. This is ideal because you can experience this place but don’t have to be committed to walking there or staying there. The pub crawl takes you around in a party bus! Only negative to this place is the location on the strip, that’s it.

Osheas – Not really a hotel, but we had to include it. Something about this place holds a special place in our hearts. You can play 5 dollar blackjack on the strip. You can play beer pong, you can eat Subway or McDonalds. It’s awesome. This place is so raw and sketch that we cant help but love it. They even have a midget dressed up as a leprechaun. The coolest dealers in Vegas, we’ve seen people get carried out of here by their buddies and still didn’t get kicked out, magical place.

Pools:

There isn’t much to do during the day in Vegas; you only really have a few options. You can watch a show, gamble, or hit the pool parties! You really can’t go wrong with any hotel pool, but we would recommend the best to be Wet Republic at the MGM Grand. It’s always a badass time. The Hard Rock has a great pool party scene as well.

Shows: Never been

People:

The people in Vegas are a mixed bag. You will encounter some sketchy ass people who want to sell you blow and other shit. Most of the people that come to Vegas are pretty laid back and want to have a good time. You also have the stuck up crowd, who only came to Vegas to flash how much they’re worth.

Thumbs up

Thumbs up

oh no too late

oh no too late

Food:

You have to try a couple buffets while you’re there or maybe even a nice sit down joint. Don’t be fooled though. There are plenty of cheap places to eat at on the strip (Subway, Chipotle, etc.). If money is getting tight then swallow the pride and hit up the McDonalds right by Casino Royale.

Clothing:

During the day you’re going to want to wear shorts or swim trunks, it’s the middle of the f’in desert! When going out to hit the town at night, dress to impress. Every spot in Vegas at night has a dress code of at least no sneakers or no t-shirts.

Random:

Let loose, this is the motherf***in sin city! Normal rules don’t apply here. Go to the liquor store and buy a huge ass bottle of anything and then proceed to walk down the street getting housed off of it. There is no open container law on the strip.

These ties are money

These ties are money

If you’re going to some club that has a popular ass DJ about to spin, try and get the advance tickets. They’re like 10 bucks more and will let you skip the lines.

Ask for Pit Boss Steve at Osheas and tell him Jeff sent you.

Spearmint Rhino is by far the best strip club in Vegas and one of the best in the world.

Wear ties with everything, including t-shirts. We’d even wear them at the pool if inflatable ties existed. Thank us later for this. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE will ask about them and want to play with them. Just look at the pictures in this article.

Conclusion:

We hope this Vegas guide helps in someway. We tried to put all the big things into it, and left out TONS of stuff. We don’t want to spoil all the fun, and honestly we just didn’t want to write anymore. Best advice would to bring at least one really nice outfit and do it big on the town. There is no other feeling in the world then feeling like a boss in Vegas, even if it is only for a night… and try not to get arrested ;)

If you don’t like to travel or Vegas is too far you, you can always try your luck with an online video casino.. we’ll explain how to play if you don’t know already, for example Texas hold’em:

Texas hold’em poker gets a lot of attention, offering televised tournaments and plenty of Internet versions for poker players to enjoy. There are lots of other ways to enjoy online poker entertainment and betting excitement, however. Find out where — and how — to play video poker online for real money.

Basic Video Poker Strategies and Rules

In standard poker, a player doesn’t even need a pair to win. If he’s got the best hand of all the remaining players, or he bluffs everyone out, he takes the pot. That’s all there is to it. However in video poker, you are not playing against other players. Your goal is simply to make the best five card poker hand you can, replacing cards once as in draw poker. If you make a pair of jacks or better, you win. The better your poker hand, the higher your payoff.

Online Video Poker Casino

Playing online video poker is hardly different from playing video poker at a brick-and-mortar casino, but the difference can work toward your advantage. You’ll be playing video poker in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by all the little luxuries you might not be able to enjoy in a public environment. If you want to play in your pajamas, for instance, you have every right to do so. This might not help you win more money at video poker but it certainly can’t hurt.

There are many different ways to enjoy online video poker — with or without pajamas. In the casino, you’d be playing for money, and you can do the same thing online. There are literally hundreds of different online video poker games you can play for free, both at free game sites and through online casino games. If you want to play for real money, however, you’ll want to look toward Internet casinos and poker rooms. Often, online poker rooms provide a full host of casino games (including video poker) where you can wager and win real money. Look here first if you want to experience the thrill of gambling and gaming for profit.
